Isn't It Ironic?

I write a blog about making products in the US to create US jobs.  The irony behind that is that yesterday I talked to a close family member and he lost his job on Friday.  New management came in and cleaned house, so to speak.  The good thing about him is that he's like a cat - always lands on his feet.  Could you please keep him in your prayers - that he is able to find work soon?  We've been there and it's not fun.

If you are going through something like that, please let me know or send me an email if you don't want it published publicly.  We can all help each other out.

To My Dear Friend.....

Today, I normally call it Fun Food Friday and write about something related to food.  However, I have a friend who, I believe, needs a prayer and so that is what I am going to do.

My Dearest Friend,

My heart is with you.  I know that you are celebrating one of the happiest days of your life, while also dealing with a not-so-happy issue.  Please know that I am with you in spirit and my prayers are being dedicated to you.  With my joy I lift you and with my hugs I hope to comfort you.  It humbles me that you chose me to be your friend.  It honors me that you continue to do so.  I hope that our children will share with each other the same joy that you bring into my life.  God willing, we will see each other soon and I cannot wait.  I'll bring the banana bread.
