I Find Comfort Among.....

I recently visited a blog where I read a story about the snow that fell and the cold weather.  When I think of comfort my first thoughts are cold weather and a warm drink.  To complete the trio would be some cute and comfy socks.  The socks go back to my grandfather.

When I was a kid, I had gotten sick one day and stayed with my grandparents because I missed school that day.  They were always telling me not to walk barefooted when I was sick.  My grandfather gave me a pair of his {maroon-colored, knee-high} socks to wear.  To this day, I still wear those socks when I get sick.  They make me feel like he is still with me, like they are both still with me.

The irony is that I do not like my girls walking around in their socks.  Ok maybe not white socks, but socks with cute patterns are fine.  Maybe this will become a small tradition in our family - socks for sick days.
