I have been trying to install Disqus on my blog. For those of you who do not know, it is basically a commenting system. I have used it on other blogs and it's great. I am trying to install the comment count and with everything else that I am working on, it's been a process at trying to finally get it installed. I think when I get an error message, I throw my hands in the air and go on to something else to only end up coming back to the error message. I think for that reason it's taking twice as long to get it done. For now, if you want to leave a comment, you have to click on the actual post title. Sorry for the technical difficulties.
Moving on.
I noticed that last month, my kiddios started to become picky-er eaters, or so I thought. It turns out their mama became a boring cook. When my husband brought home fast food on a leftovers night, a light went off in my head. I challenged myself to a 30-day no repeat dinner menu. So far, it's going well.
After reading so many blogs thanks to the success of the Thumping Thursdays Blog Hop, I have had the honor and pleasure of getting to know many people. One thing I find that we all have in common is the grocery store. At some point in time, we all head over there. I began searching the grocery store for products made in the USA. Some of the things that I found amazed me and others genuinely surprised me.
I decided to expand the shopping directory. I wanted it to be more appealing, so I have begun to create individual pages for some of the categories. So far, I created a page for Coffee made in the USA, Jewelry made in the USA and Hair Accessories made in the USA. I confess that it has also made it easier for me to find items when I need them. This blog helps me to organize my life a little better.
Another inspiration that came from blog hopping was that some of you are expecting or have recently given birth to some amazing little babies. By the way, I am absolutely blown away at how beautiful you look so soon after giving birth. God bless you! I am working on a slightly larger project. I am creating a baby registry that includes products that are made in the USA. That's been a fun project, especially since I have found some very cool things for my own girls.
Lastly, since my girls are getting a bit older, everyday it seems, I decided to find some great craft projects to work on with them. I am not crafty....AT ALL. This is why I am grateful for all you who are and are more than willing to share your fabulous ideas with those of us who can only pray for those skills. Thank you for making me look like a rock star in front of my kids. Of course, these crafts include products that are made in the USA and some product reviews, as well.
As you can see, I have been busy. I want to thank all of you who link up here every week. I thoroughly take inspiration from reading your blogs and enjoy the fact that you make me better at what I do.
