I Feel Pretty

I am a stay-at-home mother.  That is my job, my work, my calling.  My dress code is to wear something.  This morning I woke up, looked in the mirror and decided that I wanted to look pretty.  On a daily basis, I make myself look presentable.  I have found that the law of somebody has someone knock on my door on that one day that the kids' food spilled all over me, my clothes don't match, and my hair is falling out of the rubber band I put it up in.  Not this morning.  I wanted to look pretty - like a girl, like a lady.

I put on makeup - foundation and all.  I have to confess that it did make a difference.  I really did feel prettier.  My foundation is Cover Girl.  On the back of the bottle, there was a little tab that said to peel.  I peeled it back to satisfy my curiosity.  I thought it would have a list of ingredients or something.  It actually says that the foundation is Made in the USA of US and imported parts.  Admittedly, I didn't know that it was Made in the USA when I bought it, but was quite happy to see it.

Do you have those days where you want to fancy up yourself?  What do you do?  I would love to hear (or read) your thoughts.
